SPRAT

Training for professional rope access technicians

Work on suspended ropes may only be carried out with the appropriate training. Our courses comply with the requirements of SUVA and follow the recognized three-stage training model. An industrial climbing career starts with level 1. Basic maneuvers and rescues are taught over four days, followed by an examination on the fifth day. Level 2 and 3 courses are structured in the same way, with the course content and skills being continuously expanded.

Prerequisites for participation are a certain head for heights as well as physical and mental fitness. Please refer to the self-declaration of health form.

In order to be admitted to the examination for the next higher level, 500 reported rope hours are required at the previous level.

It is possible to convert from another standard to SPRAT. Entry can be at the same level or at a higher level. The complete requirements can be found at https://sprat.org/direct-entry/. If you have any questions, please contact us, we will be happy to help.

Furthermore, it must be possible to communicate in the course language. Unless otherwise agreed, the course language is German. For further provisions, please refer to our GTC.

Dangerous work is generally prohibited for young people under the age of 18. In some cases, however, work may be learned and carried out from the age of 15 as part of basic vocational training.

Details can be found in the accompanying measures (Appendix 2) of the corresponding vocational training plan. You can view this on the SERI website.

Lessons take place in mixed groups from L1 to L3. The following programs provide an overview. As far as possible, the schedule and the form of teaching will be adapted to the needs of the participants.
